Join fellow pitmasters for a day of competition, great food, and community spirit. Anonymous judges will score each entry on presentation, tenderness, and taste. The winner takes home $500!

$50 Entry Fee
Please mail a check to Homestead Festival P.O. Box 572, Princeton, Illinois 61356. Checks should be made out to Homestead Festival.
Rules
- Meat inspections begin at 6am.
- Cooking sites will be assigned upon arrival.
- Charcoal, wood(s) and pellet grills permitted.
- No pre-seasoning, marinating, or pre-cooking allowed.
- Turn-in at 3 p.m. (5 minutes either side)
- Turn-in location is the front door of Central Bank.
- Minimum of eight bone-in pork ribs required.
- Judged on presentation, tenderness and taste (1-9 scale).
- Entries judged independently.
- Safe food handling is a top priority.
