Take a stroll down our Historic Main Street to view our themed window displays. Our business districts, both north and south will take you 'Back in the Day'. Contest winners will be announced during the Friday Festival announcements.
Homestead Festival Committee Window Displays are a great opportunity for area collectors, historians, businesses, organizations or clubs to promote themselves and to display any hidden talents or treasures. The theme for the display contest this year is "Home Sweet Home".MORE INFO
Start Sunday off right! Stop by the Princeton Elks Lodge for the annual Country Breakfast including biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, American fried potatoes, fresh fruit salad, cinnamon rolls, coffee, juice and milk!
Location: 1105 E Peru St.
Breakfast Served from 7:00am-1:00pm. $10.00 per person.

The Tournament is a 2 player scramble, 9 or 18 holes and you can golf anytime begining Thursday, September 7th until 1:30PM Sunday, September 10th.
Winner will be announced Sunday, September 10th along with the Car Show results and Raffle winner at 3:30pm in front of the Apollo Theater.
Proceeds of this tournament will go to Fisher House-providing military families housing close to loved ones during hospitalizations at VA Hospitals.

From classic American muscle to souped up rat rods, every thing in between and few outside the box, the Homestead Festival Car Show is one of the area's premiere shows sure to make a lasting impression on the most dedicated auto enthusiast. Whether you are an ardent automobile admirer, a proud owner of a magnificent machine or a bit of both, make sure to get out to Princeton's South Main St for this great show!
Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd will be given for each class. Dash plaques to first 200 registered. Registration will be 8:00am to 12:00pm with a fee of $15. Judging will take place from 12:00pm to 1:30pm with the presentation of awards at 3:00pm.

The entire community is invited to join the congregation of St. Mathews in worship as they enjoy the added pleasure of the fat mellow jazz sounds of the Jimmy Valentine Quintet. This 5 piece band owns a sound steeped in the traditions of 30's and 40's classic jazz, with a style similar to jazz legends Benny Goodman and Artie Shaw.

Bureau County 4-H Clubs be serving serving specially seasoned butterfly pork chops and pork burgers under the tent at Soldiers and Sailors Park. Cooked on an open grill by dozens of volunteer members, it is a once a year special taste. Join us and enjoy the flavor thousands of Homestead Festival visitors return to savor year after year.
Make sure you make a trip down to Soldiers and Sailors Park on either Saturday & Sunday to savor a delicious butterfly pork chop sandwich and pork dinner, you won't regret it!
Fundraiser! Events include pet contests, chili cook-off, silent auction, Canine Good Citizenship and Therapy Dog International Testing, agility and fly ball demo, vendor tables, tee shirt sales and much more.

The Miller's Petting Zoo will roll into Princeton with a proverbial ark of creatures and critters for your enjoyment. Among these lovable beasts, one will find goats, pot belly pigs, chickens, ducks, alpaca, donkeys and many others, as well as an opportunity to learn a bit about each one. Addmission is free and food is provided for each animal so the youngsters can offer each a snack or two.

A Former Station on the Underground Railroad, the Lovejoy Homestead was the home of the Denham and Lovejoy families for nearly 100 years. Reverend Lovejoy was its most famous resident and occupied the house from 1838 until his death in 1864. We promise there won't be a quiz afterward!
