Homestead Managers
Homestead Weekend is a coordinated effort. Committee members, volunteers, business and service organizations come together with help form our festival managers. These individuals help behind the scenes throughout the year to ensure that we have an enjoyable weekend.

The Bureau County Homestead Festival began in 1972. It was a celebration to honor Owen Lovejoy and his contributions to our nation’s history. 2023 will mark our 52nd year of this highly anticipated event. The Homestead Festival is successful because of dedicated committee members, community volunteers, cooperating businesses and involved service organizations. We appreciate everything our 2023 Homestead Couples have done to make this event a success.

Homestead Festival Lawn Social Committee
We would like to thank this year’s Lawn Event host couples for all their work on making the official kick off event a success. The Lawn Event is held in June on the lawn of the Owen Lovejoy Homestead in Princeton.
